Chlorine Bleach (sodium hypochlorite 6%) does not kill mold.
Why?
Mold hyphae (root structures) actually grow into wood and drywall like roots. Bleach does not kill mold hyphae because bleach's ion structure prevents chlorine from penetrating into porous materials (dry wall, concrete wood etc). Bleach stays on the outside surface, but mold has protected enzyme roots growing inside.
When you spray porous surface mold using bleach as a mold cleaner, the water part of the solution soaks into the wood while the bleach chemical sits atop the surface, gasses off. This only partially kills surface mold, but does not destroy mold roots. But the water penetration feeds the mold growth. So you think you did destroy mold, but it just seems to come back even thicker!

Chlorine Bleach is NOT a registered EPA mold killing product.

You can verify it yourself when you are unable to find an EPA registration number to kill mold on the label of any brand of chlorine bleach.

MoldSTAT plus non-bleach mold killer is a concentrate that is mixed with water then sprayed on to the mold infested areas. There are several ways to apply MoldSTAT plus based:

• Mold Fogger:
  The easy, electric way to apply a mold killer solution. Using a fogger is the best approach to applying a mold killer when penetrating into tight spaces is required. The mold and mildew fogger is able to disperse the mold killer into a atomized fog. We recommend the Fogmaster Jr - ULV mold removal fogger
• Pump Sprayer:
  A pressurized or pump sprayer is useful to apply a more coarse spray. For low volumes we recommend a hand held sprayer like a Indoor Hand Sprayer or for larger applications a 2 Gallon Pump Up Sprayer
• Bucket and Sponge:
  In some cases a simple bucket and sponge or rag approach will work.
